4. The Zipper Face Illusion
For those who love special effects makeup, the zipper face remains an absolute showstopper. Using spirit gum and tissue paper, apply a real metallic zipper down the center of your face, leaving it zipped open from the forehead down to the nose. Paint the exterior of your face in your normal, everyday glam makeup. Inside the open zipper track, fill the space with dark, coagulated blood gel, liquid latex flesh textures, and bright red stage blood. The illusion of unzipping your own skin to reveal a bloody interior is both shocking and incredibly satisfying to create.
