Inspired by the dark, dramatic world of ballet, the Gothic Black Swan is a powerful, high-drama look that is incredibly striking. The focus of this makeup is a dramatic, graphic eye mask that mimics the wings of a black swan. Start with a pale, matte complexion and a deeply contoured, hollowed-out cheek structure using cool, dark taupe.
Using a waterproof black gel eyeliner and a fine brush, map out a dramatic, sweeping wing shape that starts from the inner bridge of your nose, covers your entire eyelid, and stretches out past your temples toward your hairline. Fill this shape in with intense matte black, and use a fine brush to paint delicate, feather-like strokes along the edges of the mask. Press a dark, metallic forest green or midnight blue shimmer onto the center of the lids for dimension. Pair this intense eye with a deep, matte plum or black lipstick.
