12. The Hanging Coastal Cliff Palm

12

Defying gravity, the Hanging Coastal Cliff Palm grows out of the side of steep mountain walls, rocky crags, and ocean cliffsides. Rooted in sheer stone, its trunk projects out horizontally over open air before swooping upwards toward the sun, creating dramatic verticality in mountain coastal builds.

Anchor the trunk into a mountain cliff using deepslate or cobblestone walls, transitioning into stripped jungle wood as the trunk extends over the drop. Use leaves that stretch both upward toward the sky and downward toward the ocean surface below. Adding dangling leaf blocks and weeping vines underneath the trunk makes the palm look like it’s clinging to life on the edge of the world, ideal for dramatic custom terrain generation.
