3. The Windswept Arching Palm

Nature is rarely symmetrical, and the Windswept Arching Palm celebrates the beauty of natural imperfection. Designed to look as though it is constantly enduring high ocean breezes, this palm features a trunk that bows dramatically horizontally before bending back upward toward the sky. To build this trunk, craft a dynamic S-curve or long horizontal beam using stripped acacia wood, which offers a warm, sun-bleached tone perfectly suited for arid coastal environments.
The leaf canopy of a windswept palm should reflect the direction of the prevailing wind. Push the majority of the leaf blocks toward one side of the trunk, using green carpets and moss carpets on top of the leaves to smooth out blocky edges. Hanging vines from the leeward side of the fronds creates an illusion of motion, as if the leaves are fluttering in a continuous breeze. Place these dramatic trees on high rocky cliffs or isolated ocean spits to create a sense of wild, unscripted nature in your custom terrain.
