16. Hanging Plant & Botanical Display Shelf
What This Idea Means
Bringing nature indoors, a botanical shelf arrangement fills empty vertical wall spaces with lively greenery, potted flora, and organic textures.
How to Make It
- Attach Chains to a high ceiling or beam overhang, dropping down two or three blocks length.
- Connect the bottoms of two parallel chains with Spruce Slabs or Trapdoors to form a suspended hanging shelf platform.
- Place Flower Pots containing Ferns, Bamboo, and Flowering Azaleas on top of the hanging shelf.
- Attach Moss Carpets or Vines to the underside and sides of the shelf to allow foliage to drape downward naturally.
- Add Leaf Blocks on top of nearby wall-mounted shelf brackets to build out an overgrown plant sanctuary.
Tips and Variations
- Tiered Shelf: Drop additional chains below the first shelf to create a two- or three-tiered hanging plant system.
- Light Integration: Hide a Spore Blossom on the ceiling above the shelf so green particles continuously drop down through your indoor garden space.
