20. Modular Storage Wall with Built-in Wardrobe

What This Idea Means

A complete floor-to-ceiling modular storage wall combines function with organization, blending clothes armor displays, chest storage, and decorative shelves into one seamless installation.

How to Make It

  1. Select a full interior wall space (at least 5 blocks wide by 4 blocks tall).
  2. Install two vertical columns of Barrels and Chests in the center for primary utility storage.
  3. Build an inset arch in the middle section using Spruce Stairs and Trapdoors.
  4. Place an Armor Stand inside the archway wearing full armor to serve as a wardrobe display mannequin.
  5. Surround the outer top edges with Chiseled Bookshelves and Flower Pots on small shelf brackets.
  6. Enclose the side edges with vertical Spruce Trapdoors to make the unit look custom-built into the room’s architecture.

Tips and Variations

  • Hidden Door: Convert one column of the storage wall into a secret piston door leading into a hidden vault or brewing cellar.
  • Lighting Accent: Hide Redstone Lamps or Shroomlights behind the upper shelf overhang to cast warm light straight down onto the armor display.

Needed Materials

  • 6-8x Barrels / Chests
  • 1x Armor Stand & Armor
