19. Stone Pillar Aquarium Column
What This Idea Means
Functioning both as a structural wall support column and an eye-catching focal piece, a vertical pillar aquarium brings vibrant aquatic life into modern mansions or underwater bases.
How to Make It
- Build a vertical 2×2 hollow column extending from floor to ceiling using Deepslate Tiles or Stone Bricks.
- Replace the middle front and side blocks of the column with Glass Blocks or Glass Panes, leaving top and bottom solid.
- Fill the interior hollow cavity with Water sources from bottom to top.
- Add Kelp, Seagrass, Sea Lanterns at the base, and introduce colorful Tropical Fish inside.
- Cap the top and bottom exterior of the glass window with Stone Brick Stairs facing toward the glass to frame it smoothly.
Tips and Variations
- Soul Sand Elevator: Place a Soul Sand block at the very bottom so bubbles constantly stream upward through the column, creating motion inside the aquarium.
- Corner Column: Integrate this design into room corners to save space while decorating dead architectural corners.
